Bipasha Left 'Lamhaa' Shoot In Fear Of Safety

The buzz is that the courageous girl of Bollywood ‘Bipasha Basu’ has left the shooting of Rahul Dholakia’s “Lamhaa” mid way and flew back to Mumbai. Bipasha says that she was actually very much tensed about her security and safety in Kashmir. According to Bips the shooting of the film was getting repeatedly held up due to the huge crowds that would gather and demand the shooting to be stopped.

The unit of ‘Lamhaa’ had faced a lot of opposition in the state and their shooting was disrupted quite a few times; leadings Bipasha to declare that she did not feel safe enough. Also due to unfavorable situation Bips moved out of the Oberoi hotel where the entire unit was staying and shifted to an undisclosed location.

Things came to such a point that one day the actress suddenly left the shoot and packed her bags to return to Mumbai after a crowd watching the shoot went out of control. Though the situation improved a bit later on, Bipasha had by then already decided to leave Kashmir without informing anyone.

There have even been rumors that the film’s makers considered replacing Bips with Vidya Balan. But producer Bunty Walia is confident that Bipasha would complete the shoot in Kashmir and go back to the state in January next year when the next schedule will be held in the state.

Cosmopolitan Award 2008

Mumbai magazine ‘Cosmopolitan’ arranged an awards event named Cosmopolitan Fun, Fearless, Female Awards. Shahrukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Sushmita Sen made a sensuous appearance for the award show. Ranbir Kapoor received the award for most ‘Fun Actor’ while Bipasha grabbed the award for the most ‘Fun Actor and Fearless Female Actor’. Overall it was a booming and enjoyable night for celebrities.

Bipasha Gets 1.5 Crore

Bipasha Basu has proved it once again that she is the real crowd puller. This is the first time in Bollywood history that an actress has managed to get whooping Rs 1.5 crore for a new year’s performance.

Bips is going fine and racing ahead of Kat as far as her charges are concerned. While Kat baby will be grooving at the JW Marriot, Bipasha will be busy bringing the house down for Sahara group with a jaw dropping amount of Rs 1.5 crore on 31st December night.

There have been talks about Kats performance at JW Marriot for 1crore but the bombshell Bipasha Basu went ahead and charged Rs 1.5 crore. It was said that Kat has done better than Bipasha, who had earned Rs 90 lakh for a 30 min performance at Marriot last year but Bipasha proved it wrong and bang over Kat in her favorite game the ‘Money’ game.

Cop Proposed Bipasha For Marriage

Recently while shooting for Rahul Dholakia’s ‘Lamhaa’ in Kashmir, a cop walked up to her and proposed her for marriage in front of the cast and crew. Wherever the lady goes the crowd follows her and it becomes difficult for security to handle the situation.

Normally boyfriend John Abraham is around to handle such situations but this time since he was not present she had to deal with it. After her initial hesitation, she turned to him and politely but very firmly turned down his proposal saying that John and she love each other very much.

Bipasha Basu has signed her first ever art house movie called ‘Pankh’, in which she will play a Bollywood actress whom a guy who is the mixed-up protagonist adores. The Director Sudipto Chattopadhyay has cast a newcomer Maraddona in the role of the androgynous boy. Her director is very keen to use her name Bipasha for his film’s character but according to Bipasha she is not at all comfortable with her name being used for any character.
The film is about gender confusion in the life of a child actor. He is a boy but plays a female child artiste and is very popular. Then he grows up and wants to be launched as a hero but there is a kind of confusion in his mind. Bips said that her role in the film is quite crazy and many would say why she has done it but she is really excited for Pankh because it’s her first so called art film.

Whether Bipasha Basu approves it or not is yet to be seen, But Vidya Balan has signed a David Dhawan comedy ‘Hook Ya Crook’ with Bip’s boyfriend John Abraham. Bipasha is in the news for her new movie ‘BACHNA AE HASEENO’ in which she is paired up with Ranvir Kapoor. in an interview a journalists unfortunately asked her that in the promos she is looking older than her hero Ranvir, and what else she was totally annoyed by this question and to defend herself she said, no one is bothered about aged heroes romancing onscreen with younger heroines, but why people are so conscious when aged heroines comes on camera with young heroes. Bipasha Basu impressed with Neil Nitin Mukesh

Recently, while shooting in Bangkok on the sets of the movie Freeze, Neil Nitin Mukesh had given walkie-talkies to each of his staff members – from the hair-stylist, make-up artists to the spot boys.

Co-star Bipasha Basu was extremely impressed by the way Neil communicated with his staff, and told him as much.

When Neil found out that his co-star Bipasha was impressed by the walkie-talkies and wanted them for her staff too, he bought four walkie-talkies on the next day itself and gifted them to the delighted Bipasha. Earlier, boyfriend John Abraham had to cajole Bips into acting opposite Neil in Freeze, and now she is herself is too glad to have signed it.

Source from the sets reveals, "Bipasha was excited to see how Neil handled his staff. He is a much organized person and used walkie-talkies rather than shouting out aloud to his staff. When Neil came to know that Bips was very impressed by this, he decided to gift her a few walkie-talkies. Bipasha was thrilled and excited to receive them and thanked Neil."
