Ayesha Takia Weds
Ayesha Takia got married on 1st March, 2009 with her long time boyfriend and restaurateur Farhan Azmi in Colaba, South Mumbai. It was a simple, private ceremony with only near and dear ones invited. Many celebrities from Bollywood attended the reception on March 2.
We wish Ayesha and Farhan all the luck and a blissful married life.
Once upon the number one actress of Bollywood and the queen of millions of hearts ‘Manisha Koirala’ is now all set to tie the knot with her long time boyfriend Christopher Doris, a sports counselor, author and entrepreneur.
According to sources Manisha had some problems with her boyfriend but now they have sorted out all the issues and the actress is finally ready to get married.
Though she has a long list of friends from Bollywood, the actress clarifies that the wedding would be a low affair event and only few near and dear ones will be in her guest list.

It seems that the awards are raining on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. After getting Padma Shree the green eyed Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has yet another award in her awards kitty. Aishwarya has recently been conferred by the French authorities to receive the prestigious French award, ‘Officer Dan Ordre Des Arts Et Des Lettres’ but unfortunately the actress has been unable to enjoy the awards due to her father’s (Krishna Raj Rai) bad health.
Recently Aishwarya had declared that she will not be receiving the award until her father gets in good health. The second highest civilian award is a big thing but Ash says that ‘it will be a glorious moment but not without my father’ and now since her father is well she has informed the French government to prepare for the ceremony.
Before Ash, the only person in Bollywood to receive this award is Shahrukh Khan and now it’s the lady’s turn to enjoy it.

The Badshah of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan is preparing for yet another surgery. Shahrukh has hurt his shoulder in December during the shoot of ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’. The shoulder ligament wore tore while running for an action scene during which Shahrukh fell hard on his arm. The doctor has advised him to go for the shoulder surgery without any delay. So, before leaving for Los Angeles for the shoot of Karan Johar’s ‘My Name Is Khan’ SRK has to go under this otherwise the situation may get worse.
But Shahrukh confirms that he has delayed the surgery since his home production ‘Billo Barber’ will be releasing on February 19th. The actor has previously been operated upon for his back and his knees.

The living legend and superstar of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan relives the last 40 years of his journey in Indian Cinema with his new biography titled ‘Bachchanalia’is penned by eminent film journalist Bhawana Somaya. The biography is published by Neville Tuli, the father of Pioneerings arts institution Osina’s founded in the year 2000. The biography tells about Big B’s journey in the industry and also focuses on the evolution in Indian cinema along with anecdotes, trivia and snippets of a few of Bachchan’s popular films.
His family members including Abhishek and Aishwariya got together for releasing ‘Bachchanalia’ and Aamir was invited as the guest of honor to launch the book. Filmmaker Yash Chopra was the chief guest at the grand event. ‘Bachchanalia’ got launched in style on January 3, 2009 at Tata theatre. At event, Aamir was all praises for Big B and spoke in glowing terms about the superstar of millennium.
Well, it seems that with 'Bachchanalia', Amitabh has achieved yet another milestone in his career.

He says, “I am very happy with that. Why should I be surprised and shocked? I think homosexuals are as human as anyone else. It’s a matter of great pride if I’m their icon,’’.
There were rumors that his father did not like Abhishek in the role. But Abhi clarifies, “why should he take offence? Not at all! The film is about homosexuality; ‘Dostana’ isn’t Brokeback Mountain. It was just a comedy. My whole family has throughout enjoyed it. Who doesn’t enjoy a good laugh? It’s a normal fun film. Aishwariya is very happy. It’s a big hit…. my second big hit of the year after Sarkar Raj”.
Presently Abhi is shooting in the jungles of Cochin for Mani Ratnam’s next flick “Ravan”. Abhishek has no time to enjoy the success of “Dostana”. He says, “of course we will have a party, when we get back. But at the moment, I am celebrating by doing more quality works”.

The super-sexy and super-cool dude of Bollywood Hrithik Roshan has left no stone unturned for his home production ‘Kites’. Hrithik, who plays the character of a salsa teacher in Kites, is all set to move his body on a special song to be choreographed by US based choreographer Flexy Stu.
Flexy will be in India by the middle of December and will start working on the song and before final picturisation Hrithik will rehearse with him for five days to give the best possible shots.
This is not the first time for Hrithik to be choreographed by Flexy Stu. Flexy has done Hrithik’s choreography for a biscuit commercial after that Hrithik was so much impressed that he had even recommended Flexy for some of his other endorsements related to liquor and clothes. Hrithik is the person behind Flexy’s recommendation for the choreography in ‘Kites’.
Kangana Ranaut and Barbara Mori are playing opposite to Hrithik in the film. The film is slated to release in the summer of 2009 and due to dialogues being in Hindi, Spanish and Filipino; it will have subtitles in Hindi and English.
Mumbai magazine ‘Cosmopolitan’ arranged an awards event named Cosmopolitan Fun, Fearless, Female Awards. Shahrukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Sushmita Sen made a sensuous appearance for the award show. Ranbir Kapoor received the award for most ‘Fun Actor’ while Bipasha grabbed the award for the most ‘Fun Actor and Fearless Female Actor’. Overall it was a booming and enjoyable night for celebrities.
“As the events of the terrorists attack unfolded in front of me, I did something for the first time and one that I had hoped never ever to be in a situation to do. Before retiring for the night, I pulled out my licensed .32 revolver loaded it and put it under my pillow, for a disturbed sleep”. The veteran actor said that for the first time in his life he slept with his loaded licensed revolver under his pillow.
Big B also writes in his blog “My pain has been the sight and plight of my innocent and vulnerable and completely insecure countrymen, facing the warmth of this terror attack. And my anger has been at the ineptitude of the authorities’ that have been ordained to look after us.
The actor said he was glued to the TV screen late on Wednesday night when security personnel battled the terrorists, who killed 125 people and injured 327 across the city.
He further says, he salutes people who have laid down their lives for us. I can only but salute them and respect their sincerity on the call of duty. Bachchan says, he bows before the spirit of Mumbai and wishes this spirit never ends.

“I have been watching television since yesterday and to see various locations in Mumbai turned into a war zone is shocking and heartbreaking, to say the least. My heart felt condolences to the families of persons killed and taken hostage! What would the people caught inside by be going through? The fire fighters were doing their best but my imagination was running wild and I was feeling helpless watching other people trapped in the rooms adjoining the fire.” Said Aamir.
Aamir also write, “When will these politicians realize and admit that terrorist have no religion. Terrorists are not Hindu or Muslim or Christian. They are not people of religion or God. They are people who have to be dealt with in that manner.

The Buzz is that, actress Priyanka Chopra is on ‘Colud 9’ after two back to back hits ‘Fashion’ and ‘Dostana’ and is the lucky one to be chosen as the “Goddess of Atlantis” at Dubai.
Priyanka has been chosen to officially inaugurate Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai’s latest iconic luxury resort at a $40 million glittering function on Thursday. Atlantis, The Palm is the flagship resort of Palm Jumeirah, one of the three palm-shaped artificial islands of the coasts of Dubai. It has 360-degree views of ocean.
The key attraction of the function was a grand fireworks display to unveil the resort. And get this- the fireworks show was created by the same people behind the ones at the Beijing Olympics.

“Welcome To Sajjanpur” is an upcoming comedy directed by Shyam Benegal with Shreyas Talpade and Amrita Rao in the lead roles. Initially the film was named as Mahadev Ka Sajjanpur but Shreyas insited to rename the name the film as Welcome to Sajjanpur. Shreyas is playing Mahadev in the film. The Hollywood studio which owns the right to the boy wizard movie has taken the Indian producers to the court and that’s just because the film’s title. Since the name Hari Puttar is too similar to “Harry Potter” Warner bros is taking legal action against the producer of the movie. Hari Puttar- a comedy of terrors has become terror for its makers. It is a story of a ten year old boy who moves to Britain with his family. The boy fights two criminals who are trying to steal a secret formula devised by his scientist father. Warner bros threatened to sue the makers of “Hari Puttar”. But producer Munish Purii has defended the movie saying that the movie has nothing common with ‘Harry Potter”. Munish said Hari is a common Indian name and puttar is a punjabi word which means son. The problem is just because of the accent. In the hearing Judge Reva Khetrapal saw the trailers and remarked that “this looks quite similar to Home alone” and now next hearing is on Monday. The film slated to release on 12th September.
“Tahaan” is being called the story of a boy with a grenade but it is not based upon any real incident and completely a fiction. It is the journey of an eight year old child whose life revolves around the quest to find real purpose in his little world. The film highlights how conflicts impact children’s mind and their lives. Directed by Santosh Sivan, the movie is entirely shot in Kashmir and narrates the story of Tahaan and his quest across the mountains to find his donkey friend Birbal. For Tahaan, bringing his favourite donkey back home becomes the one and only purpose in life. Rahul Bose’s character in the film is of a 35 year old simple fool. It does not take him long to fall in love with a woman. According to Rahul this is the first time when he is playing such a weird and wonderful character in a film. Saarika is playing tahaan’s mother in the film. The actress was seen in “Parzania” based on Gujarat riots of 2002 that added a national award to her credit. The film releases on 5th September.
