Himesh Reshamiya's 'Kajraare'

Once again the singer-musician-actor Himesh Reshamiya is making news and this time not for his conflicts with the judges on the sets of music realty show ‘Sa re Ga Ma Pa’ but for his upcoming flick “Kajraare” directed by Pooja Bhatt. In this movie Himesh will act opposite to popular Pakistani actress Mona Laizza. The story of this new musical love saga is written by Mahesh Bhatt. The movie is being shot in the simply beautiful and stunning locations around the globe.

The movie is already being hyped by saying that the storyline of ‘Kajraare’ is very similar to that of ‘Sadak’ in which Pooja has acted years ago opposite to Sanjay Dutt. This upcoming flick is an Indo-Pak love story and the director Pooja Bhatt is really excited about this project.

Luck For "Luck By Chance"

“Luck By Chance” is the story of a struggling actor Vikram Jaisingh (Farhan Akhtar) who comes to Mumbai to make a position for himself in the film industry with the help of his TV star friend Abhimanyu (Arjun Mathur) who facilitates him during his struggling days. While trying to navigate through the film industry he meets a junior actress Sona Mishra (Konkana Sen Sharma) and from then on his life changes forever.

Does he make it big? or his struggle defeat him is the plot of the movie which is set for a 30th January release. The movie has Hrithik Roshan in a brief role as a superstar and Rishi Kapoor as a Punjabi Producer. Dimple Kapadia, Juhi Chawla, Isha Sharvani and Sanjay Kapoor are in supporting roles. Basically it’s a film about the facts of film industry and the craze among youth to join it and hopes that are so big that sky is not the limit for them.

The music of the film is given by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy which is just superb and the lyrics are penned by non other than daddy Javed Akhtar. The film has been written and directed by Farhan’s sister Joya Akhtar.

Ten Oscar Nominations For "Slumdog Millionaire"

Danny Boyle’s directed and 4 Golden Globes Awards winner “Slumdog Millionaire” has got ten Oscar nominations across nine categories. The film based on the story of Mumbai slums has been nominated in Oscar for Best picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screen Play, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, best Original Song for O Saya and Jai Ho, Best sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing.

The film was released in November in US where it has already earned $40 million and setting new records in the Uk. The movie is based on career diplomat author Vikas Swarup’s novel “Q and A”.

The Badshah of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan has taken a New Year resolution of not to do any more guest appearances or cameo roles in films for friends. Shahrukh has been so generous to his friends that he doesn’t take a single penny for the guest appearances.

Shahrukh’s special appearance in the film have often proved to be the good luck factor for the film but the actor is now fed-up of guest appearances and has decided not to do any more special appearances in the film.

Presently Shahrukh is busy shooting for “My Name Is Khan” in LA, directed by Karan Johar. King Khan who can never say not to friends, has done many guest appearance recently, including films like Shakti- The Power, Kaal, Heyy Babyy, Krazzy 4, Bhootnath and many more.

4 Nominations For 'Slumdog Millionaire' At Golden Globes Award

An anticipated, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ has begged nominations in major categories at the Golden Globes, which are considers precursors to the Oscars. The film has already won three awards at the ‘British Independent Film’ awards namely Best Film, Best Director and The Most Promising Newcomer ‘Dev Patel’.

For the 2008 Golden Globe Awards, the film has been nominated for ‘Best Picture-Drama’, ‘Best Director’ for Boyle and ‘Best Screenplay’ for Simon Beaufoy and ‘Best Original Score’ for A.R Rahman, given by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Shot in Mumbai, the film tells the story of a slum boy who goes on to take part in a quiz game show “Who wants To Be Millionaire?” and manages to win Rs. 20 Million. It is based on the book “Q and A” written by Indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup. The film released in the US recently and has received both critical and commercial success. Beside Dev Patel other actors in the film are Freida Pinto, Anil Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.

For the very first time Bollywood Queen Katrina Kaif and the hot and happening Ranbir Kapoor are coming together for Rajkumar Santoshi’s directorial venture ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani’. Katrina Kaif recently got hit on the face by Ranbir Kapoor, of course unintentionally.

Kat was shooting with Ranbir on the sets of the movie in Madh Island where the duo were acting out a chase sequence where they were hounded by goons. The scene demanded Ranbir to turn around and hit one of the chasing goons. He did that but in the bargain hit Katrinas’s nose with his hand and the actress ended up with a bleeding nose. She was immediately given a first aid on the sets.

The actress was in great pain but realized that but it was unintentional, so she didn’t complain. Injured Kat confirmed the incident. Ranbir plays Prem, an innocent guy in the film and he will play two distinct characters in the movie similar to Charlie Chaplin and Raj Kapoor.

The film is gonna hit the box office soon this year.

Asin Unveils The Ghajini Paintings By Salman

This is the first time in Bollywood that an actor is promoting other actor’s movie and that’s also when he has no connections with it. Everybody knows that Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have been good friends for a while now. But it is needless to say that Salman’s generosity and love for Aamir is truly special.

The story goes that Salman was so impressed by Aamir’s performance in Ghajini that he decided to gift him two special paintings made by none other than himself. The paintings were unveiled by the leading lady and Aamir’s co-star in Ghajini, Asin. The actress unveiled the Aamir Khan’s Ghajini look by Salman at the INOX at Nariman point in South Mumbai on 24th December.

The painting was special for her not only because she is the leading lady in the film but also because it was made by Salman, with whom she may soon be paired with in her next flick ‘London Dreams’.

Asin said that she was highly impressed by the creative talent of the star, who can paint so well’.

Let’s start the talk of Aditya Chopra’s ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ with its end. Don’t get anxious, I am not revealing the climax of the film. The story about, is after the climax. The film ends, but the pictures immerging on the screen after the movie, increases it’s TRP. Hundreds of audience in the theatre, stand up from their seats and enjoy it. So don’t miss to catch the full interest of the pictures running and the commentary by Surendra Sahni in Shahrukh’s voice.
Well, before the film’s release Shahrukh Khan had said in many interviews that the film will remind the audience about Rishikesh Mukherjee. King Khan was true to some extent. Amid films with hogwash comedy, vulgar script, forced exposure of heroines, without reason kiss scenes, Aditya Chopra has served a very good and decent film. But it would take time for him to match the level of the legend Rishikesh Mukherjee. In comparison, the simplicity of films characters does not reach to the height of expectations and even at some places the film’s story doesn’t go very well. Beside this we can predict that the film is going to be a big hit on ticket window.
A speck of film’s story is inspired by Golmaal. In that Amol Palekar changes his identity to save his job and here Shahrukh Khan change himself to get his wife’s love. The most interesting thing is that, the director of films like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Mohabbatein has started this movie with Shahrukh Anushka’s marriage. After a compelled marriage a realist man working as a govt employee in a company named Punjab Power changes his individuality to get his wife’s love. In the whole story the girl finds herself hanging between her new love and her husband but at last she gets her fate, ‘her rab’.
There are three key characters in the movie. Shahrukh as Surendra Sahni, Anushka as Tani and Vinay Pathak as Boby, imitating the character of hair-stylist Javed Habib. Though they are interesting in their roles but sometimes Sahrukh seems to be overacting a bit. Vinay Pathak has also overacted somewhere but still his comedy is thoroughly enjoyable and newcomer Anushka gets a really well etched character to perform and it despite being her first film, she comes across an absolute natural. Through her debut Anushka will taste the success of hit but to show her beautiful the team has done a lot of hard work. Salim-Sulaiman has given a wonderful music. Haule-haule and dance pe chance is already in the chartbuster but the big thing is that the director who has always seen music as the soul of a movie has not tried to put so many songs in the movie. However, what needs to be remembered is that Aditya Chopra has been one of the pioneers when it comes to song picturisation.The film is shot around the streets of Amritsar.
After Dilwale and Mohabbatein, this film is surely going to be the directorial hetric for Aditya Chopra and Aditya camp has celebrated their hatric with the picturiastion of the number featuring Kajol, Rani, Bipasha, priety zinta and Lara with Shahrukh. Well, to compete with ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ there is no other film on Box-office this week. You can probably go and watch this film once.

Zulfi Syed Gets Good Offers From Bollywood

Model-turned-actor and the most shy and soft spoken person among the other housemates in ‘Bigg Boss’ Zulfi Syed, has been noticed by filmmakers after the show and is now getting good offers.

Zulfi denies the fact that he accepted the show to get publicity. He said that, he wanted to be a part of the show not only for money and popularity but because he wanted to see whether he can live without any communication from outside world or not.

Now the actor says he is looking forward to a better career in films. On being asked whether he is disappointed on not winning ‘Bigg Boss’, he said, I was not disappointed and for me, prestige is more important than money.

Two heartthrobs of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan are coming together once again after a long period for the film “Luck By Chance” produced by Farhan Akhtar’s sister Zoya Akhtar. Zoya’s directorial debut is a contemporary take on the Mumbai film industry. Together, Shahrukh and Hrithik were last seen in ‘Kabhie khusi Kabhie Gham’. Zoya is following the path of Farah Khan and looking forward to an “Om Shanti Om” where she would pull a large number of stars for a song.

After ‘Rock On’ which was released in August, ‘Luck by Chance’ will be the second acting venture of Farhan. Zoya is all set to introduce her brother Farhan as the leading man in her debut film. According to sources the film is slated to release on 30th January.

Raja, Zulfi and Ashutosh apologized for breaking the rule but Rahul stood firm to his decision of not to apologize and finally on the grounds of disobedience he took voluntary exit on his own decision and that’s also when they were only five days away from the grande finale. He was ready to relinquish the money for the three needy contestants. He was the strongest contender of Bigg Boss house who survived five evictions.

Whatever, but undoubtedly Rahul is the real winner of Bigg Boss. He not only won the audience with his chivalry but also showed the three iron hearts melt in tears for him.

It’s not been a very rewarding year for Bollywood hottie Salman Khan. After flops like, GTGH, ‘Hello’, Sallu is trying hard to hit the blockbuster charts with his upcoming flick, ‘Yuvvraaj’ and ‘Veer’. Veer is about an Indian warrior fighting the British Raj. The film reveals the period of 1800. The film will be similar to multiple Oscar winner “Gladiator”, and feature Salman in the role of Gladiator.

Apart from having Indian actors the film will also feature western faces. Salman is currently busy trying to get into perfect shape for the film.The reason why ‘Veer’ is being seen as such a hot proposition is because its story is written by Salman himself. Sohail khan and Mithun Chakraborty have also been signed to essay some very important characters in the film.

According to inner sources the female lead in ‘Veer’ is Zarine khan whose look is very much similar to Katrina Kaif. 'Golmaal' Has Become A Brand: Ajay Devgan

Actor Ajay Devgan is flying really high these days after his film has become one of the biggest hits of year 2008.

After playing central character in two highly successful comic capers- “Golmaal” and it’s recently released sequel ‘Golmaal Returns’. Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan says the title has almost become a brand itself. Though he was expecting a good response but the reactions to the film are ‘exceptional’. He says: ‘It feels great to see the kind of business Golmaal Returns has done in its first week. It has broken records and has become one of the biggest hits of the year.

New Couple For New York

Who would not like to see the sexiest John Abraham and hot Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif together? This is the first time when the duo is working together in a film titled 'New York' produced by Yashraj films. 'New York' also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh of Johnny Gaddar in a leading role. These days Neil is busy in wrapping up 'Freeze' with Bipasha Basu, which is said to be an action film.

New York is directed by Kabir Khan of Kabul express. This will be the second time Kabir Khan will direct John Abraham. The movie is slated to release in early 2009. The story of the film is yet not revealed but it seems that this would be biggest hit of 2009.

But the question is how Salman allowed Kat baby to act opposite his one of the biggest enemies John Abraham. Confusing na?

Shahrukh Khan Steps Into Real Estate

After investing money in IPL cricket Shahrukh Khan is all set to invest his money once again in real estate. Bollywood King is developing a property in UAE. His first project will be a cluster of buildings on Al Dana Island in association with TSA International Investments.
The housing project is known as Shahrukh Khan Boulevard. Buyers have been invited for one and two bedroom apartments but sales will begin only after official launch on October 20 by King Khan himself. The island is a ‘heaven of privacy for celebrities, accessible by boat only. It has been so far described as a new business avenue for the star altogether, conceptualized by famed architect Toni Ashai.

Amitabh Bachchan: Get Well Soon

Once again Bollywood millennium star Amitabh Bachchan has fallen sick. Big B was rushed to Lilawati hospital immediately after complaining abdominal pain on Saturday morning, the day of his 66th birthday, 11th october. Jaya Bachchan, Abhhishek Bachchan, Aishwariya Rai Bachchan and close members of the family were also present at the hospital.
Many fans waited for hours outside his Mumbai home to wish him on his 66th birthday but things turned crazy when people noticed an ambulance entering the residence and their god being taken on stretcher.
Hopefully doctors have revealed that Big B is out of danger and as he has responded well to the treatments. He will be discharged soon. Past days Amitabh was busy shooting for his recent flick ‘Teen Patti’. Whenever he falls sick whole country prays for his health and this time also it seems that the prayers of his fans have worked for him. Sizzling diva Shilpa Shetty is known to be a quiet person but finally she has proved it wrong and has slapped a fellow actor. She has done this with full concern and not by any mistake or any misunderstanding. Don’t be in the dilemma guys this was actually for a scene in her forthcoming film “The Man”.
In one of the shots she had to slap her fellow actor Sudhanshu Pandey but the actor says she has never slapped any of her co-stars onscreen and that’s why she was very uncomfortable with the shot. Shilpa said it was not as simple as one might have imagined. Finally as she had no option left she slapped Sudhanshu so hard that she ended up scratching his face and leaving nail marks. “Billo Barber” is an upcoming bollywood movie directed by Priyadarshan and Shahrukh Khan besides producing the film also playing the role of a superstar in the film. Other actors in the film are Irrfan Khan, who is playing the main role of a barber ‘Billo’ and Lara Dutta his wife. Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are in the guest appearances in the movie.
It is the story of a village barber ‘Billo’ who is not able to cope up with the changing trends. Billo’s childhood friend becomes a superstar (SRK) and one day when the superstar visits the village for a shooting, Billo fails to meet the obvious expectation of people and rest of the story is finally how they meet and recognize each other. This is the modern story of Krishna-Sudama friendship. Though it is same stereotype hindi movie of rich and poor, it would be interesting to watch two Khans together. The movie is slated to release on 7th November.

The people who says “naam me kya rakha hai” we tell you “naam me bahut kuch rakha hai”. The Hollywood studio which owns the right to the boy wizard movie has taken the Indian producers to the court and that’s just because the film’s title. Since the name Hari Puttar is too similar to “Harry Potter” Warner bros is taking legal action against the producer of the movie.
Hari Puttar- a comedy of terrors has become terror for its makers. It is a story of a ten year old boy who moves to Britain with his family. The boy fights two criminals who are trying to steal a secret formula devised by his scientist father. Warner bros threatened to sue the makers of “Hari Puttar”. But producer Munish Purii has defended the movie saying that the movie has nothing common with ‘Harry Potter”. Munish said Hari is a common Indian name and puttar is a punjabi word which means son. The problem is just because of the accent.
In the hearing Judge Reva Khetrapal saw the trailers and remarked that “this looks quite similar to Home alone” and now next hearing is on Monday. The film slated to release on 12th September.

Directed by Santosh Sivan, the movie is entirely shot in Kashmir and narrates the story of Tahaan and his quest across the mountains to find his donkey friend Birbal. For Tahaan, bringing his favourite donkey back home becomes the one and only purpose in life.
Rahul Bose’s character in the film is of a 35 year old simple fool. It does not take him long to fall in love with a woman. According to Rahul this is the first time when he is playing such a weird and wonderful character in a film. Saarika is playing tahaan’s mother in the film. The actress was seen in “Parzania” based on Gujarat riots of 2002 that added a national award to her credit. The film releases on 5th September.

Whether Bipasha Basu approves it or not is yet to be seen, But Vidya Balan has signed a David Dhawan comedy ‘Hook Ya Crook’ with Bip’s boyfriend John Abraham. In Salaame Ishq viewers got to see the brilliant chemistry between John and Vidya, this would be the second time to see the Salaame Ishq couple together.
Also there was a story that Bipasha didn’t let John sign a film with Vidya. Bipasha denies of this matter and says that John could work with anybody; it’s none of her business as long as it’s a good film. Good work policy Bips, we expect that many people will come to learn these kind of good policies from you. Also she claims that she is not insecure about John with Vidya as they have spent seven years together and its Bipasha’s faith in John that keeps their bond strong.

In his maiden blog posts, he shares some interesting experience especially the controversy surrounding the name of his spelling. He says on his blog that -
"Another friend of mine who actually helped me in creating the blog, when told me that it has been named Manoj Bajpai, it kind of made me upset. The reason for this was that they didn't use my original and official name which is Manoj Bajpayee and not Manoj Bajpai. Bollywood journalist didn't also write my spelling right and when I tried to correct it, I was called a numerology fanatic..!!!"

Another place, he writes about his recent efforts to catch up with the latest technological trends. He says - "Recently, when I was shooting for Acid Factory, Fardeen and a fellow friend Jeetu taught me to download music. These days I listen to music, not on my tape recorder, but on my PC."

Salman's marriage

Guys you will not believe what wonder going to happen with Salman. At last, he has decided to get married in few months. You must be scratching your head to know who the bride is. What yaar… not other than Katrina Kaif. Seriously thanks to those vodka shots which Katrina had at Arpita’s (Salman sisters) birthday party because fortunately or unfortunately Salman’s ex-girlfreind Sangita Bizlani was also among the guests and Salman went to Bizlani and this was enough to give Kat a bizli ka Jhatka. When Kat was fully tally, in front of everybody she proposed salman to marry her. Earlier Salman use to say these words but now it’s the other way round. They are planning to get married at the end of this year.
