To add to his array of unusual roles, Amitabh Bachchan is all set to play grand-father to his own son Abhishek in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's forthcoming film Dilli-6.
The movie, a semi-autobiography of Mehra, stars Abhishek and Sonam Kapoor as the lead pair. Confirming the news, Amitabh quipped that another reason for accepting the cameo is that he will get to share the screen space with Waheeda Rehmaan, his favorite actress of yesteryear.
Amitabh has earlier worked with Mehra in the movie Aks. After Dilli-6 Mehra also plans to cast Amitabh in his next film titled Paanch Kaurav.

After doing Om Shanti Om, Deepika Padukone has many interesting projects in her kitty. One among them is Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk to China, co –starring the Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar as the lead man.
Lately, the gorgeous actress was spotted at the poster launch of this film, unveiling the look of the movie for the first time. Talking about the film, apart from playing a double role of a Chinese woman and an Indian lady in the film, the actress also took special training in Marshall Arts and Kung fu for her role giving her all the reasons to be excited for the movie.
Due to hectic schedules, Akki could not make it to the event. But, the lovely actress, single handedly managed the queries of the media and spoke openly about the film, successfully generating interest and curiosity among the people.
Ranbir Kapoor, who’s very excited about his upcoming movie Bachna E Haseenon got a little nervous while shooting a romantic number 'Khuda jaane' in Italy.
It so happens, that choreographer Ahmed Khan insisted that Ranbir shoot the song on the top of a hill. But, a little birdie says that Ranbir is very scared of heights and everybody on the sets was aware of this and everybody was surprised when Khan remained adamant about it.
Our khabri says, "Ranbir has vertigo and everyone knows about it. However, he had to shoot on a hill which he had to climb and hence was pretty scared. But, he went ahead with it because choreographer Ahmed Khan insisted."

Before you guys start thinking about the real life of both the actors, I want to say that both Abhishekh and Vidya are doing a movie together in which both are the main lead. Name of the movie is Pa.
After Cheeni kum, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Tabu, director R Balkrishnan will direct Bachchan once again in Pa. They will be joined by Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. The latest actor to join the cast is Vidya Balan.
The actress, who recently signed the movie, will play Abhishek's sweetheart. Tabu was earlier considered for the role but the makers felt that she would not suit the role.
While Amitabh has shared the silver screen with his son quite a few times, Jaya has starred with Abhishek only a couple of times before, only in the 2002 Bengali film Desh, and Yash Chopra's Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, last year.
Pa will go on floors next year, and is expected to release mid-2009.Well…. Abhi dear and Vidya darling ,we are waiting to watch your chemistry on screen.
Everyone knows that Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan are in Kismat Konnection. But no one knows about the surprise package that is in the film. Hey guys and gals can you make any guesses? It's none other than director Aziz Mirza's lucky charm Juhi Chawla who plays a crystal ball reader in the movie Kismat Konnection. Her role is inspired from Whoopi Goldberg's character in Ghost and Juhi has been styled and dressed accordingly for the part.
Her role is of an outlandish mad cap crystal ball reader who is wacky and yet can predict Shahid Kapoor's kismat. Juhi's role in Kismat... is an important one in the film. Aziz Mirza tells, "In the film, Juhi reads a crystal ball to predict the future."
Juhi Chawla has been dressed in bizarre gypsy costumes to suit her character. "Every morning hordes of outlandish jewellery and gypsy skirts would arrive for Juhi and she had a blast choosing the costumes and dressing for the part." says the director. According to Mirza, "even though Juhi's character is very integral to the story." Juhi played the character perfectly and I just had to make a call to her. She is perfect in the film and I am glad that I went by my instincts. I am very close to Juhi. She's almost like my child." Hey, but what about Mirza's other lucky mascot Shahrukh Khan?
Shah Rukh Khan is back in Mumbai and in fact even started the shoot of "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" yesterday itself at Yash Raj studio. He arrived on time thus putting all the rumors about his alleged unprofessionalism to rest.
"The shoot of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi had already begun and the film was being shot in Film City and few other studios in Mumbai, however in the middle of it all, Shah Rukh left for Amsterdam to do a show for Temptations and after that took an extended vacation! His schedule delayed the shoot as he didn't come back for good 15 days, which he had not informed in advance", says a khabaru.
When asked Yash Raj's spokesman Monika she replied, "I have been busy with Bachna Ae Haseeno music release and have not been keeping track on what has been happening at SRK's end."
"There is no confusion here. Shah Rukh had informed Adi in advance about his schedule and he is extremely professional. He had made clear as to for how many days he'd be gone etc and we are quite organized in these issues. Everything is going as per the schedule and there is no problem at all." Said Monika in a blow.
Now that SRK is back, things will automatically be on track.
After having delivered two back-to-back hits - Vivaah and Jab We Met, Shahid Kapoor will now be seen in Kismt Konnection romancing Vidya Balan.
In this movie, the actor will be playing a NRI and is all set to woo the NRI audience. Says chocolate boy Shahid, "Yes this is the first time I am doing a full-fledged NRI romance. I'm not playing a rich kid living abroad. I'm playing a guy who is not so well off, trying to make a living in a foreign country."
Aziz Mirza, who is the director of the film, says that the role would have been perfect for Shah Rukh Khan 10 years back, but now only Shahid suits the role. Looks like Shahid is ready to be the king of romance in bollywood !

Compliments haven't stopped coming in for Amisha Patel for her small role in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. Amisha is very excited and cheerful – both on personal and professional front. Personally, she is glowing with love for her new beau Kaanav Puri., on the professional front; she has made a fresh start and grabbed appreciation and attention as well.
Though critics have different views over Kunal Kohli's film 'TPTM', almost everyone unanimously agrees that Amisha's performance as a minimally clad bimbo was heart winning and majestic.
Since the film's release, Amisha has been flooded with calls and messages praising her look and performance. But the best compliment, which she could ever get, Amisha says, came from Kanav. After watching the film with Amisha a few days back, Kanav told her that no other actress, in his opinion, has ever looked so stunning on screen as Amisha did in TPTM. That compliment floored Amisha.
Now, Kanav – who is known to do things lavishly and stylishly for his girlfriend – has booked a multiplex in south Delhi to specially screen TPTM for his entire family and friends on Wednesday. Kanav deliberately kept it secret from Amisha and only told her on Monday.

Despite a much-hyped Neal 'N' Nikki with co-star Uday Chopra, Tanisha's career didn't take off the way it ought to have.
This year the bubbly actress was seen in Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar Raj and One Two Three. But then, the peppy actress has managed to make a mark in Telugu and Tamil movies and is all set to make her presence felt in yet another movie which is also a regional film. She will now be seen in a Bengali film, tentatively titled Mukti, with her mother Tanuja. And she is very excited about it. "I'm really looking forward for shooting to start in August. I'm very excited about it and cannot wait to sink my teeth into it," says the actress in an interview.
Tanisha, who will be sharing the screen with her mother for the first time, is playing a young girl who lives with Tanuja as a paying guest. "It's going to be interesting. I have seen my mother work with my sister in Bekhudi, and there was a comfort level that they shared. I feel the more you know the person you are acting with, the more you can get the subtle nuances out of the other person," she says excitedly.
