Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Bags French Honor

It seems that the awards are raining on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. After getting Padma Shree the green eyed Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has yet another award in her awards kitty. Aishwarya has recently been conferred by the French authorities to receive the prestigious French award, ‘Officer Dan Ordre Des Arts Et Des Lettres’ but unfortunately the actress has been unable to enjoy the awards due to her father’s (Krishna Raj Rai) bad health.

Recently Aishwarya had declared that she will not be receiving the award until her father gets in good health. The second highest civilian award is a big thing but Ash says that ‘it will be a glorious moment but not without my father’ and now since her father is well she has informed the French government to prepare for the ceremony.

Before Ash, the only person in Bollywood to receive this award is Shahrukh Khan and now it’s the lady’s turn to enjoy it.

Shahrukh's Shoulder Surgery

The Badshah of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan is preparing for yet another surgery. Shahrukh has hurt his shoulder in December during the shoot of ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’. The shoulder ligament wore tore while running for an action scene during which Shahrukh fell hard on his arm. The doctor has advised him to go for the shoulder surgery without any delay. So, before leaving for Los Angeles for the shoot of Karan Johar’s ‘My Name Is Khan’ SRK has to go under this otherwise the situation may get worse.

But Shahrukh confirms that he has delayed the surgery since his home production ‘Billo Barber’ will be releasing on February 19th. The actor has previously been operated upon for his back and his knees.

No More Guest appearances: Shahrukh

The Badshah of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan has taken a New Year resolution of not to do any more guest appearances or cameo roles in films for friends. Shahrukh has been so generous to his friends that he doesn’t take a single penny for the guest appearances.

Shahrukh’s special appearance in the film have often proved to be the good luck factor for the film but the actor is now fed-up of guest appearances and has decided not to do any more special appearances in the film.

Presently Shahrukh is busy shooting for “My Name Is Khan” in LA, directed by Karan Johar. King Khan who can never say not to friends, has done many guest appearance recently, including films like Shakti- The Power, Kaal, Heyy Babyy, Krazzy 4, Bhootnath and many more.
Let’s see how far SRK can stick with this resolution.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi: Review

Let’s start the talk of Aditya Chopra’s ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ with its end. Don’t get anxious, I am not revealing the climax of the film. The story about, is after the climax. The film ends, but the pictures immerging on the screen after the movie, increases it’s TRP. Hundreds of audience in the theatre, stand up from their seats and enjoy it. So don’t miss to catch the full interest of the pictures running and the commentary by Surendra Sahni in Shahrukh’s voice.
Well, before the film’s release Shahrukh Khan had said in many interviews that the film will remind the audience about Rishikesh Mukherjee. King Khan was true to some extent. Amid films with hogwash comedy, vulgar script, forced exposure of heroines, without reason kiss scenes, Aditya Chopra has served a very good and decent film. But it would take time for him to match the level of the legend Rishikesh Mukherjee. In comparison, the simplicity of films characters does not reach to the height of expectations and even at some places the film’s story doesn’t go very well. Beside this we can predict that the film is going to be a big hit on ticket window.
A speck of film’s story is inspired by Golmaal. In that Amol Palekar changes his identity to save his job and here Shahrukh Khan change himself to get his wife’s love. The most interesting thing is that, the director of films like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Mohabbatein has started this movie with Shahrukh Anushka’s marriage. After a compelled marriage a realist man working as a govt employee in a company named Punjab Power changes his individuality to get his wife’s love. In the whole story the girl finds herself hanging between her new love and her husband but at last she gets her fate, ‘her rab’.
There are three key characters in the movie. Shahrukh as Surendra Sahni, Anushka as Tani and Vinay Pathak as Boby, imitating the character of hair-stylist Javed Habib. Though they are interesting in their roles but sometimes Sahrukh seems to be overacting a bit. Vinay Pathak has also overacted somewhere but still his comedy is thoroughly enjoyable and newcomer Anushka gets a really well etched character to perform and it despite being her first film, she comes across an absolute natural. Through her debut Anushka will taste the success of hit but to show her beautiful the team has done a lot of hard work. Salim-Sulaiman has given a wonderful music. Haule-haule and dance pe chance is already in the chartbuster but the big thing is that the director who has always seen music as the soul of a movie has not tried to put so many songs in the movie. However, what needs to be remembered is that Aditya Chopra has been one of the pioneers when it comes to song picturisation.The film is shot around the streets of Amritsar.
After Dilwale and Mohabbatein, this film is surely going to be the directorial hetric for Aditya Chopra and Aditya camp has celebrated their hatric with the picturiastion of the number featuring Kajol, Rani, Bipasha, priety zinta and Lara with Shahrukh. Well, to compete with ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ there is no other film on Box-office this week. You can probably go and watch this film once.

Cosmopolitan Award 2008

Mumbai magazine ‘Cosmopolitan’ arranged an awards event named Cosmopolitan Fun, Fearless, Female Awards. Shahrukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Sushmita Sen made a sensuous appearance for the award show. Ranbir Kapoor received the award for most ‘Fun Actor’ while Bipasha grabbed the award for the most ‘Fun Actor and Fearless Female Actor’. Overall it was a booming and enjoyable night for celebrities.

"Luck By Chance" For Shahrukh And Hrithik

Two heartthrobs of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan are coming together once again after a long period for the film “Luck By Chance” produced by Farhan Akhtar’s sister Zoya Akhtar. Zoya’s directorial debut is a contemporary take on the Mumbai film industry. Together, Shahrukh and Hrithik were last seen in ‘Kabhie khusi Kabhie Gham’. Zoya is following the path of Farah Khan and looking forward to an “Om Shanti Om” where she would pull a large number of stars for a song.

After ‘Rock On’ which was released in August, ‘Luck by Chance’ will be the second acting venture of Farhan. Zoya is all set to introduce her brother Farhan as the leading man in her debut film. According to sources the film is slated to release on 30th January.

Beside brother Farhan, other actors in the film are Shahrukh Khan; who will be playing himself, Hrithik will be playing the role of a struggling actor who wants to strike big in Bollywood though Hrithik has already made it clear that the audience would see less of the dancer in him. Konkana is playing the role of an upcoming starlet, Rishi Kapoor performs the role of a typical Punjabi Producer while Juhi Chawla plays his wife and last but not the least; Karan Johar will be taking the director’s mantle. Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor are in guest appearances for the film.

MY NAME IS KHAN

The young director Karan has put his ambitions quite high yes he is targeting the White House, the residence of the US President for his next directorial venture My Name is Khan, staring golden couple Shahrukh & Kajol. The director was in US doing some location shopping and it's being reported that he even applied for a permission to shoot in the White House. What guts yaar!!

Director Karan Johar is directing his fourth movie named by “My Name is Khan” which will star Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Kajol. The movie scheduled to release in 2009. This all time hit couple were last seen is Karan Johar's 2001 Kabhi Khusi Kabhi Gam.

My Name is Khan features six people with Muslim name who are viewed with suspicion & forced to endure extra security checks in international airport even after six years of the 9/11 attacks. King Khan says the movie touches him personally. He conveyed “may every one live in the religion of peace after seeing this movie” as the name suggests is not a biopic of SRK. Shahrukh Khan will play just the character who suffers from an anlistic disorder.

According to sources Karan Johar wants to convey a social message through his film which will be a sort of eye opener for many.

The most interesting thing is that 'my name is khan' brings back the golden couple to the silver screen again, and also the film will enlighten the issues faced by some one who is Muslim or the surname is Khan.

Shahrukh's Dynasty

Bollywood King, King Khan has done many item numbers for different films with different heroines in his filmy career but this time he is coming with 3 item numbers at a time for his recent flick ‘Billo Barber’ and that’s also with three top Bollywood Balas.

After doing item numbers with Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone shahrukh is all set to shoot the third item number for the movie with hot and happening Priyanka Chopra. Two names were initially in Shahrukhs mind, Rani Mukherjee and Priyanka Chopra but after Rani appeared on Salman Khan’s ‘Dus Ka Dum’ and knowing there’s no love lost between Salman and Priyanka , the selection ball automatically rolled down towards Priyanka and as a result Shahrukh and Priyanka will be doing the third sizzling item number together.

Since SRK plays a film star in the film he needed to do some glamorous song and dance numbers with top heroines. What shahrukh wants he gets and it was a cakewalk for the megastar to get the leading ladies to do item numbers for his film, said comedy king director Priyadarshan.

Shahrukh Khan Steps Into Real Estate

After investing money in IPL cricket Shahrukh Khan is all set to invest his money once again in real estate. Bollywood King is developing a property in UAE. His first project will be a cluster of buildings on Al Dana Island in association with TSA International Investments.
The housing project is known as Shahrukh Khan Boulevard. Buyers have been invited for one and two bedroom apartments but sales will begin only after official launch on October 20 by King Khan himself. The island is a ‘heaven of privacy for celebrities, accessible by boat only. It has been so far described as a new business avenue for the star altogether, conceptualized by famed architect Toni Ashai.

Shahrukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Bollywood Star King Khan again with Yashraj Films in upcoming movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The movie will release on 12th Dec. 2008. Big thing is that there is no famous actress with Shahrukh Khan, the actress with Shahrukh Khan is new commer Anushka Sharma. The movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is debut for Anushka Sharma.

Superstar of bollywood the King Khan will be seen again with Yashraj banner in his upcoming movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The movie written and directed by Aditya Chopra. SRK starer movie is going to be released on 12th of December, 2008. Newcomer Anushka Sharma has been casted opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Old Wine In a New Bottle

“Billo Barber” is an upcoming bollywood movie directed by Priyadarshan and Shahrukh Khan besides producing the film also playing the role of a superstar in the film. Other actors in the film are Irrfan Khan, who is playing the main role of a barber ‘Billo’ and Lara Dutta his wife. Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are in the guest appearances in the movie.
It is the story of a village barber ‘Billo’ who is not able to cope up with the changing trends. Billo’s childhood friend becomes a superstar (SRK) and one day when the superstar visits the village for a shooting, Billo fails to meet the obvious expectation of people and rest of the story is finally how they meet and recognize each other. This is the modern story of Krishna-Sudama friendship. Though it is same stereotype hindi movie of rich and poor, it would be interesting to watch two Khans together. The movie is slated to release on 7th November.

Singh vs King

Is Akshay Kumar the new King of Bollywood? Akshay has got an offer from top Hollywood and Chinese artiste Jackie Chan. Jackie has approached Mr. Khiladi and asked him if he could star with him in a future film of his. In the past Akki has openly said that he would love to work with Chan and this opportunity comes at the right time when Akshay has left no stone unturned to compete with Shahrukh. Recently in a press conference Akki pointed Shahrukh for his endorsement of a fairness cream also he said that no one accept ‘Amitabh Bacchan’ could be the King of Bollywood. Khiladi Kumar starrer “Chandi Chowk to China” is on a collision with SRK’s home production “Biloo Barber”. If there is no change in the release dates, it would be the clash date between Singh and King. The combat is evenly poised and it would be interesting to watch who exterminate whom or may be both of them will survive.

Shahrukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Shah Rukh Khan is back in Mumbai and in fact even started the shoot of "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" yesterday itself at Yash Raj studio. He arrived on time thus putting all the rumors about his alleged unprofessionalism to rest.

"The shoot of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi had already begun and the film was being shot in Film City and few other studios in Mumbai, however in the middle of it all, Shah Rukh left for Amsterdam to do a show for Temptations and after that took an extended vacation! His schedule delayed the shoot as he didn't come back for good 15 days, which he had not informed in advance", says a khabaru.

When asked Yash Raj's spokesman Monika she replied, "I have been busy with Bachna Ae Haseeno music release and have not been keeping track on what has been happening at SRK's end."

"There is no confusion here. Shah Rukh had informed Adi in advance about his schedule and he is extremely professional. He had made clear as to for how many days he'd be gone etc and we are quite organized in these issues. Everything is going as per the schedule and there is no problem at all." Said Monika in a blow.

Now that SRK is back, things will automatically be on track.

Priyanka Chopra having affair with Shahrukh Khan

The latest news in Bollywood circuit is that Miss India and current heartthrob of Bollywood Priyanka Chopra is having an affair with Shah Rukh Khan. SRK is also promoting Priyanka to get various films and brand endorsements. Recently Priyanka Chopra hit headlines as the brand ambassador of a watch company that has SRK as its male brand ambassador. According to Bollywood insiders, it was Shah Rukh who replaced Sushmita Sen with Priyanka Chopra in Don. Shahrukh also suggested Priyanka to Amir Khan for his upcoming movie Gajgamini. Insiders say that it was the cause of recent tussle between Shar Rukh's wife Gauri and Priyanka.
